English Translation
It is narrated from Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: This verse, "Allah keeps the believers firm upon the firm word," was revealed concerning the punishment of the grave. The deceased is asked: Who is your Lord? He says: My Lord is Allah, and my Prophet is Muhammad (peace be upon him). This is what is meant by the saying of Allah, "Allah keeps the believers firm upon the firm word in this world and the Hereafter." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim/Hadith: 492]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: یہ آیت”اللہ تعالیٰ ایمان والوں کو پکی بات پر قائم رکھتا ہے“قبر کے عذاب کے بارے میں اتری ہے۔ میت سے پوچھا جاتا ہے، تیرا رب کون ہے؟ وہ کہتا ہے کہ میرا رب اللہ تعالیٰ ہے اور میرے نبی محمدصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کے اس قول”اللہ تعالیٰ ایمان والوں کو دنیا اور آخرت میں پکی بات پر قائم رکھتا ہے“سے یہی مراد ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 492]
