English Translation
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "If the believer knew of the punishment Allah has prepared, none would covet Paradise. And if the disbeliever knew of the (vastness of) Allah's mercy, none would despair of His Paradise."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: اگر مومن کو اللہ تعالیٰ تیار کردہ سزا (عذاب) کا علم ہو جائے تو کوئی جنت کی طمع نہ کرے۔ اور اگر کافر کو اللہ تعالیٰ کی رحمت (کی وسعت) کا علم ہو جائے تو کوئی اس کی جنت سے ناامید نہ ہو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1925]
