English Translation
Narrated Ibn Shihab — and he was mentioning the dwellings of the people of Thamud, which are named al-Hijr — and he said that Salim ibn Abdullah said that Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We passed by al-Hijr with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) said, "Do not enter the dwellings of the wrongdoers except while weeping, and beware lest the same punishment that befell them befall you too." Then he (peace be upon him) urged on his mount and hastened until al-Hijr was left behind.
Urdu Translation
ابن شہاب سے روایت ہےاور وہ قوم ثمود کے مکانات جس کا نام حجر ہے، کا ذکر کر رہے تھے اور کہا کہ سالم بن عبداللہ نے کہا کہ سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ ہم رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ حجر پر سے گزرے تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ظالموں کے گھروں میں مت جاؤ مگر روتے ہوئے اور بچو کہ کہیں تم پر بھی وہ عذاب نہ آ جائے جو ان پر آیا تھا پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنی سواری کو ڈانٹا اور جلدی چلایا، یہاں تک کہ حجر پیچھے رہ گیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1834]
