English Translation
Narrated Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him): We were six men with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). The polytheists said, "Drive these people away from you; they will not act boldly against us." Among these people were I, Ibn Mas'ud, a man from Hudhayl, Bilal, and two others whose names I do not mention. Something occurred in the heart of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) as Allah willed, so he (peace be upon him) had some thoughts within himself, and then Allah revealed this verse: "Do not drive away those who call upon their Lord morning and evening seeking His pleasure." Urdu Translation
سیدنا سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہہم چھ آدمی رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ تھے۔ مشرکوں نے کہا کہ آپ ان لوگوں کو اپنے پاس سے ہانک دیجئیے، یہ ہم پر جرات نہ کریں گے۔ ان لوگوں میں میں تھا، ابن مسعود تھے اور ایک شخص ہذیل کا تھا اور بلال اور دو شخص اور تھے جن کا نام میں نہیں لیتا۔ آپ کے دل جو اللہ نے چاہا وہ آیا۔ پس آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دل ہی دل میں باتیں کیں، تب اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت اتاری کہ”مت بھگا ان لوگوں کو جو اپنے رب کو صبح اور شام کو پکارتے ہیں اور اس کی رضامندی چاہتے ہیں“(الانعام: 52)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1650]
