English Translation
Narrated al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) lagged behind on a journey, and I lagged behind with him. When he had finished relieving himself, he asked: "Do you have water?" So I brought a pot of water. He washed both his hands and washed his face. Then he wanted to bring his arms out of the sleeves, but the sleeves were too tight (that is, he could not get them out), so he brought his hands out from underneath and threw the cloak over his shoulders, and washed both his hands and wiped over his forehead, his turban, and his leather socks. Then he mounted, and I mounted too. When we reached the people, they were praying. Abd al-Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) was leading them in prayer, and he had already completed one rak'ah. When they realized that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had arrived, they began to draw back. But he gestured to them to remain in their places. Then Abd al-Rahman led the prayer. When he gave the salam, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood up, and I stood up too, and we completed the one rak'ah that had been prayed before us.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسفر میں پیچھے رہ گئے اور میں بھی آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ پیچھے رہ گیا۔ جب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمحاجت سے فارغ ہوئے تو دریافت فرمایا کہ کیا تمہارے پاس پانی ہے؟ چنانچہ میں پانی کا ایک لوٹا لے آیا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دونوں ہاتھ دھوئے اور منہ دھویا۔ پھر بازو آستینوں سے نکالنا چاہے تو آستین تنگ ہو گئی (یعنی نہ نکال سکے) چنانچہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے نیچے سے ہاتھ کو نکالا اور جبہ کو اپنے مونڈھوں پر ڈال دیا اور دونوں ہاتھ دھوئے اور پیشانی، عمامہ اور موزوں پر مسح کیا۔ پھر سوار ہوئے تو میں بھی سوار ہوا۔ جب اپنے لوگوں میں پہنچے، تو وہ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔ سیدنا عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ ان کو نماز پڑھا رہے تھے اور وہ ایک رکعت پڑھ چکے تھے۔ ان کو جب معلوم ہوا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمتشریف لائے ہیں، تو وہ پیچھے ہٹنے لگے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اشارہ فرمایا کہ اپنی جگہ پر رہو۔ پھر انہوں نے نماز پڑھائی۔ جب سلام پھیرا تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکھڑے ہوئے اور میں بھی کھڑا ہوا اور ایک رکعت جو ہم سے پہلے ہو چکی تھی پڑھ لی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 140]
