English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you of the things by which sins are wiped away" (that is, forgiven, or erased from the record of the recording angels) "and (in Paradise) ranks are raised?" The people said: "Certainly, O Messenger of Allah, tell us." He said: "Performing ablution completely (thoroughly) despite hardships (such as intense cold or illness), taking many steps toward the mosques (such that one's house is far from the mosque and he goes back and forth), and waiting for the next prayer after one prayer. That is ribat" (that is, restraining the self for worship).
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: کیا میں تمہیں وہ باتیں نہ بتلاؤں کہ جن سے گناہ مٹ جائیں (یعنی معاف ہو جائیں یا لکھنے والوں کے دفتر سے مٹ جائیں) اور (جنت میں) درجے بلند ہوں؟ لوگوں نے کہا کہ کیوں نہیں یا رسول اللہ! بتلائیے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وضو کا پورا (اچھی طرح) کرنا سختی میں (جیسے سردی کی شدت میں یا بیماری میں) اور مسجدوں کی طرف قدموں کا بہت زیادہ ہونا (اس طرح کہ گھر مسجد سے دور ہو اور باربار جائے) اور ایک نماز کے بعد دوسری نماز کا انتظار کرنا۔ یہی رباط ہے (یعنی نفس کا روکنا عبادت کے لئے)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 132]
