English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "There is no fara' and no atirah." Ibn Rafi' added in his narration: "Fara' is the firstborn of a she-camel that the polytheists used to sacrifice."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: نہ فرع جائز ہے اور نہ عتیرہ (جائز ہے)۔ ابن رافع نے اپنی روایت میں اتنا زیادہ کیا ہے کہ فرع اونٹنی کا پہلا بچہ ہے جس کو مشرک ذبح کیا کرتے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1260]
