English Translation
Iyas bin Salamah narrated from his father Salamah bin al-Akwa (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We waged jihad against (the tribe of) Fazarah, and our leader was Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), whom the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had made our commander. When there remained between us and the water only an hour's distance (that is, from the water where the tribe of Fazarah lived), we halted in the latter part of the night by the command of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him). Then, attacking from every side, we reached the water. Whoever was killed there was killed, and some were taken captive. I was watching a group in which there were (the disbelievers') children and women; I feared that they might reach the mountain before me, so I shot an arrow between them and the mountain, and seeing the arrow they halted. I drove them all along and brought them. Among them was a woman of Fazarah wearing leather, and with her was her daughter, who was the most beautiful of Arab maidens. I brought them all to Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he gave me that girl as a reward. When we reached Madinah and I had not yet even undone the girl's garment, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) met me in the market and said, "O Salamah! Give me that girl." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, she has pleased me, and I have not yet even undone her garment." Then the next day the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) met me in the market and said, "O Salamah! Give me that girl, and may your father be excellent." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! She is yours. By Allah, I have not even undone her garment." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sent that girl to the people of Makkah, and in exchange for her he ransomed several Muslims who had been imprisoned in Makkah. سیدنا ایاس بن سلمہ اپنے والد سیدنا سلمہ بن اکوع رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہانہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے (قبیلہ) فزارہ سے جہاد کیا اور ہمارے سردار سیدنا ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ تھے جنہیں ہمارا امیر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بنایا تھا۔ جب ہمارے اور پانی کے درمیان میں ایک گھڑی کا فاصلہ رہ گیا (یعنی اس پانی سے جہاں قبیلہ فزارہ رہتے تھے)، تو ہم سیدنا ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے حکم سے پچھلی رات کو اتر پڑے۔ پھر ہر طرف سے حملہ کرتے ہوئے پانی پر پہنچے۔ وہاں جو مارا گیا سو مارا گیا اور کچھ قید ہوئے اور میں ایک گروہ کو تاک رہا تھا جس میں (کافروں کے) بچے اور عورتیں تھیں میں ڈرا کہ کہیں وہ مجھ سے پہلے پہاڑ تک نہ پہنچ جائیں، میں نے ان کے اور پہاڑ کے درمیان میں ایک تیر مارا، تو تیر کو دیکھ کر وہ ٹھہر گئے۔ میں ان سب کو ہانکتا ہوا لایا۔ ان میں فزارہ کی ایک عورت تھی جو چمڑا پہنے ہوئے تھی۔ اس کے ساتھ اس کی بیٹی جو کہ عرب کی حسین ترین نوجوان لڑکی تھی۔ میں ان سب کو سیدنا ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس لایا، تو انہوں نے وہ لڑکی مجھے انعام کے طور پر دے دی۔ جب ہم مدینہ پہنچے اور میں نے ابھی اس لڑکی کا کپڑا تک نہیں کھولا تھا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممجھے بازار میں ملے اور فرمایا کہ اے سلمہ! وہ لڑکی مجھے دیدے۔ میں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اللہ کی قسم وہ مجھے بھلی لگی ہے اور میں نے ابھی تک اس کا کپڑا تک نہیں کھولا۔ پھر دوسرے دن مجھے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبازار میں ملے اور فرمایا کہ اے سلمہ! وہ لڑکی مجھے دیدے اور تیرا باپ بہت اچھا تھا۔ میں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! وہ آپ کی ہے۔ اللہ کی قسم میں نے تو اس کا کپڑا تک نہیں کھولا۔ پھر رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے وہ لڑکی مکہ والوں کو بھیج دی اور اس کے بدلہ میں کئی مسلمانوں کو چھڑایا جو مکہ میں قید ہو گئے تھے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1145]
