وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْخِلَافَةُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَالْمُلْكُ بِالشَّام»
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The caliphate is in Madinah and sovereignty is in Sham." Reported by al-Bayhaqi in Dala'il al-Nubuwwah.
Urdu Translation
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”خلافت مدینہ میں ہے جبکہ بادشاہت شام میں ہے۔“اسنادہ ضعیف، رواہ البیھقی فی دلائل النبوۃ۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6279]
