عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ مِنْ أَشْرَاطِ السَّاعَةِ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ الْعِلْمُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْجَهْلُ وَيَكْثُرَ الزِّنا ويكثُرَ شُربُ الخمرِ ويقِلَّ الرِّجالُ وتكثُرَ النِّسَاءُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ لِخَمْسِينَ امْرَأَةً الْقَيِّمُ الْوَاحِدُ». وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «يَقِلُّ الْعِلْمُ وَيَظْهَرُ الْجَهْلُ». مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ
English Translation
Uqbah ibn Amir reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came out to us while we were in the Suffah and said: "Which of you would like to go out every morning to Buthan or al-Aqiq and bring back two large-humped she-camels without committing a sin or severing ties of kinship?" We said: "O Messenger of Allah, we would love that." He said: "Does not one of you go to the mosque in the morning and teach or recite two verses from the Book of Allah? That is better for him than two she-camels. Three verses are better than three, and four are better than four, and so on in their numbers of camels." Narrated by Muslim.
Urdu Translation
انس رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا:”علامات قیامت میں سے ہے کہ علم اٹھ جائے گا، جہالت زیادہ ہو جائے گی، زنا کثرت سے ہو گا، شراب نوشی زیادہ ہو جائے گی، مرد کم ہو جائیں گے اور عورتیں زیادہ ہو جائیں گی حتیٰ کہ پچاس عورتوں کے لیے ایک منتظم ہو گا۔“متفق علیہ۔ ایک دوسری روایت میں ہے:”علم کم ہو جائے گا اور جہالت غالب آ جائے گی۔“[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب الفتن/حدیث: 5437]
