أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ» قَالَ قُلْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَإِنَّمَا أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَيْكَ؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِي»
English Translation
Ahmad bin Ali bin al-Muthanna narrated to us, Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us from Hammam bin Munabbih who said: This is what Abu Hurayra narrated to us from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he mentioned a number of hadiths, among them that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his neighbor. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest.'
