English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, client of Thaqif, narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Rafi' narrated to us: Shababah narrated to us: Warqa' narrated to me, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'While a woman was nursing her son, a rider passed by her while she was nursing him. She said: O Allah, do not let my son die until he becomes like this one. He said: O Allah, do not make me like him. Then he returned to the breast. A woman passed who was being cursed, and she said: O Allah, do not make my son like her. He said: O Allah, make me like her. As for the rider, he was a disbeliever. As for the woman, they were saying about her that she commits adultery, but she said: Allah is sufficient for me. And they said she steals, and she said: Allah is sufficient for me.'
