أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ رَاكِبٌ عَلَى بَقَرَةٍ الْتَفَتَتْ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي لَمْ أُخْلَقْ لِهَذَا إِنَّمَا خُلِقْتُ لِلْحِرَاثَةِ» قَالَ «آمَنْتُ بِهِ أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَأَخَذَ الذِّئْبُ شَاةً فَتَبِعَهَا الرَّاعِي فَقَالَ الذِّئْبُ مَنْ لَهَا يَوْمَ السَّبْعِ يَوْمَ لَا رَاعِيَ لَهَا غَيْرِي» فَقَالَ ﷺ «آمَنْتُ بِهِ أَنَا وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ»
English Translation
Umar ibn Muhammad al-Hamdani narrated to us: Bundar narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ja'far: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'While a man was riding on a cow, it turned to him and said: I was not created for this; I was only created for plowing.' He said: 'I believe in it, and so do Abu Bakr and Umar. And a wolf took a sheep, and the shepherd followed it. The wolf said: Who will be for her on the day of beasts, the day when there is no shepherd for her but me?' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'I believe in it, and so do Abu Bakr and Umar.'
