أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ خَلِيلٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُسٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَثَلُ النَّخْلَةِ إِنْ أَكَلَتْ أَكَلَتْ طَيِّبًا وَإِنْ وَضَعَتْ وَضَعَتْ طَيِّبًا»
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Razin al-Uqaili (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated from the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: "The parable of a believer is like that of a date palm -- if it eats, it eats what is good, and if it gives, it gives what is good."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو رزین العقیلی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مومن کی مثال کھجور کے درخت کی طرح ہے، اگر وہ کھائے تو اچھا کھاتا ہے اور اگر دے تو اچھا دیتا ہے۔
