أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا انْتَهَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى مَجْلِسٍ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَإِنْ بَدَا لَهُ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فَلْيَجْلِسْ فَإِذَا قَامَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَلَيْسَتِ الْأُولَى بِأَحَقَّ مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ»
English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "Verily, the most beloved of you to me and the nearest of you to me in position on the Day of Resurrection are those with the best character among you."
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: "بے شک تم میں سے مجھے سب سے زیادہ محبوب اور قیامت کے دن مجھ سے سب سے زیادہ قریب وہ ہیں جن کے اخلاق تم میں سے بہترین ہیں۔"
