أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً فَأَصَابَهُمُ الْبَرْدُ فَلَمَّا قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَمْسَحُوا عَلَى الْعَصَائِبِ وَالتَّسَاخِينِ»
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Ja'far al-Qati'i informed us... from Hadrat Thawban (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) dispatched a military expedition, and they were afflicted by cold. When they returned to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), he ordered them to wipe over their turbans and leather socks.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ثوبان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ایک سریہ بھیجا تو انہیں سردی نے آ لیا۔ جب وہ آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو آپ نے انہیں حکم دیا کہ پگڑیوں اور موزوں پر مسح کریں۔
