Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَنَّهُ كَانَ"إِذَا قَرَأَ سُورَةً فَخَتَمَهَا، أَتْبَعَهَا بِ: قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ".
English Translation
Abdullah said: "How terrible it is for a man to say: 'I have forgotten such and such a verse.' Rather, he was made to forget. Keep reviewing the Quran, for it escapes from the hearts of men faster than camels from their hobbles."
Urdu Translation
عقبہ بن ضمرہ بن حبیب نے اپنے والد سے روایت کیا کہ وہ جب بھی کوئی سورت پڑھ کر ختم کرتے تو اس کے بعد«﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ أَحَدٌ﴾»پڑھتے تھے۔[سنن دارمي/من كتاب فضائل القرآن /حدیث: 3462]
