English Translation
Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: Al-Fadl was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). A woman from the tribe of Khath'am came, and al-Fadl began to look at her and she at him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) turned al-Fadl's face to the other side. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, the obligation of Hajj from Allah has come upon my father, who is old and weak and cannot sit firmly on a mount. Can I perform Hajj on his behalf?" He said: "Yes." This was during the Farewell Hajj.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ(میرے بھائی) فضل رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ہم رکاب تھے کہ خشعم (قبیلہ خشعم) کی ایک عورت آئی تو فضل اس کی طرف دیکھنے لگے اور وہ فضل کی طرف دیکھنے لگی تو نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فضل کا منہ دوسری طرف پھیر دیا۔ اس عورت نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اللہ کے فرض نے جو ادائے حج کے سلسلے میں اس کے بندوں پر ہے میرے بوڑھے اور ضعیف باپ کو پا لیا ہے (یعنی حج کرنا ان پر ضرور ہو گیا ہے لیکن) وہ سواری پر نہیں جم سکتے پس کیا میں ان کی طرف سے حج کر لوں؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا ہاں کر لے۔“اور یہ (واقعہ) حجتہ الوداع میں ہوا تھا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 769]
