English Translation
Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to supplicate in his prayer: "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, from the trial of the Dajjal, and from the trials of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and debt." Someone said: "You seek refuge from debt very often — why?" He said: "When a person falls into debt, he speaks and lies, and he makes promises and breaks them."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہانبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی زوجہ کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنماز میں یہ دعا کیا کرتے تھے:”اے اللہ! میں قبر کے عذاب سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اور دجال کے فساد سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں اور زندگی اور موت کی خرابی سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں، اے اللہ! میں گناہ اور قرض سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔“ایک کہنے والے نے کہا کہ آپ قرض سے بہت پناہ مانگتے ہیں (اس کی کیا وجہ ہے؟) تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”جب آدمی قرض دار ہو جاتا ہے تو جب وہ بات کہتا ہے تو جھوٹ بولتا ہے اور جب وعدہ کرتا ہے تو وعدہ خلافی کرتا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 473]
