English Translation
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Zaid ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) told him: "The Companions ate the pre-dawn meal (suhur) with the Prophet (peace be upon him), then stood for prayer." Anas asked: "How long was the interval between them?" Zaid said: "About the time it takes to recite fifty or sixty verses."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہزید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھ سے بیان کیا کہ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ہمراہ سحری کھائی اور پھر نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہو گئے تو میں نے پوچھا کہ ان دونوں کے درمیان کتنا فاصلہ تھا؟ تو سیدنا زید رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ بقدر پچاس یا ساٹھ آیات (کی تلاوت) کے (فاصلہ تھا)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 355]
