English Translation
Also narrated the Mother of the Believers, Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): In the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the hand of a thief was not cut off for anything less than the value of a shield or buckler (and each of these two things is of value).
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا ہی سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دور میں چور کا ہاتھ ڈھال یا سپر کی قیمت سے کم میں نہ کاٹا جاتا تھا (اور ان دونوں میں سے ہر ایک چیز قیمت والی ہے)۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2164]
