English Translation

Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Give the appointed shares to those entitled to fixed portions (the ahl al-fara'id), and whatever wealth remains (after giving them their shares) goes to the nearest male relative (that is, the agnate)."
