English Translation
Hudhayfa (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say, 'Do not wear silk or brocade, and do not drink from vessels of gold and silver (such as jugs, glasses, cups, etc.), nor eat from dishes (plates, etc.) of gold and silver, for these things are for the disbelievers in this world and will be for us in the Hereafter.'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ ریشم اور دیباج نہ پہنو اور نہ سونے چاندی کے برتنوں میں پانی پپو (مثلا جگ، گلاس، جام، پیالے وغیرہ) اور نہ سونے چاندی کی رکابی (پلٹ، ڈش وغیرہ) میں کھانا کھاؤ کیونکہ یہ سامان کفار کے واسطے دنیا میں ہے اور ہمارے واسطے آخرت میں ہو گا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1901]
