English Translation
The Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) went out (on a journey), he would cast lots among his wives. On one journey the names of the Mother of the Believers Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) came out. And it was the blessed habit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that when he traveled at night, he would go along conversing with Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) said (to Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her), "Tonight you ride my camel and I ride your camel; you look at my (camel) and I will look at your (camel)." Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "All right." Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to the side of Aisha's camel, while Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) was sitting on it. He (peace be upon him) greeted Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) and then set off. When they stopped at the halting place and Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not find him (peace be upon him), she put both her feet in the idhkhir grass and began saying, "O my Lord! Set upon me some snake or scorpion to bite me, for I have no power or opportunity to complain to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا روایت کرتی ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب باہر جاتے تھے تو اپنی عورتوں کے درمیان قرعہ ڈالتے تھے۔ ایک سفر میں ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا اور حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا نام نکل آیا اور نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے عادت مبارکہ تھی کہ جب رات کو چلتے تو عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے ہمراہ باتیں کرتے جاتے تھے۔ حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے (عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا کہ) آج کی رات تم میرے اونٹ پر بیٹھو اور میں تمہارے اونٹ پر بیٹھوں، میں تیرے اونٹ کو دیکھوں تو میرے اونٹ کو دیکھ۔ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا ٹھیک ہے۔ پھر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمعائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے اونٹ کی جانب آئے حالانکہ اس پر حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا بیٹھی تھیں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا پر سلام کیا پھر روانہ ہوئے۔ جب منزل پر اترے اور عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو نہ پایا تو انھوں نے اپنے دونوں پاؤں اذخر (گھاس) میں ڈال دیے اور کہنے لگیں”اے رب! تو مجھ پر کوئی سانپ یا بچھو مسلط کر دے کہ وہ مجھے کاٹ لے اور مجھے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے شکایت کرنے کی طاقت اور موقع نہ رہا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1862]
