Narrated bySa'd bin Abi Waqqas
English Translation
Narrated Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him): I have not heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say about any living person that he is from the people of Paradise, except Abdullah bin Salam. Sa'd added that the verse "A witness from among the Children of Israel testified to something similar..." (Al-Ahqaf: 10) was revealed about him.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے کسی شخص کے بارے میں جو زمین پر چلتا ہو یہ نہیں سنا کہ وہ جنتی ہے سوائے عبداللہ بن سلام رضی اللہ عنہ کے۔ سیدنا سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں اور انہی کے بارے میں یہ آیت نازل ہوئی”.... اور بنی اسرائیل میں سے ایک گواہ نے اسی طرح کی گواہی بھی دی .... پوری آیت۔“(الاحقاف: 10)[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1571]
