English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Al-Tufayl ibn Amr al-Dawsi and his companions came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! The tribe of Daws has disobeyed and refused to follow (Islam), so supplicate against them.' People said: 'Daws is destroyed!' But the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'O Allah, guide Daws and bring them (to Islam).'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہطفیل بن عمرو دوسی اور ان کے ساتھی رضی اللہ عنہم نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آئے اور انھوں نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! قبیلہ دوس کے لوگوں نے نافرمانی کی اور پیروی سے انکار کر دیا، لہٰذا اللہ سے ان کے لیے بددعا کیجئیے۔ لوگ کہنے لگے کہ اب دوس ہلاک ہوئے مگر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دعا کی:”اے اللہ! دوس کو ہدایت دے اور ان کو دائرہ اسلام میں لے آ۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1265]
