حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَنَسٍ أَحَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمَدِينَةَ. قَالَ نَعَمْ مَا بَيْنَ كَذَا إِلَى كَذَا، لاَ يُقْطَعُ شَجَرُهَا، مَنْ أَحْدَثَ فِيهَا حَدَثًا فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ. قَالَ عَاصِمٌ فَأَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ أَنَسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا.
English Translation
Musa bin Isma'il narrated to us, he said Abd al-Wahid narrated to us, he said Asim narrated to us, who said: I asked Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him): "Did the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declare Madinah as a sanctuary?" He said: "Yes, from such-and-such place to such-and-such place. Cutting its trees is forbidden. Whoever introduces an innovation therein, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind." Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: Asim bin Sulayman told me that it is either related to bondage or freeing (of slaves).
Urdu Translation
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عبدالواحد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عاصم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے پوچھا: کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مدینہ کو حرم قرار دیا تھا؟ فرمایا: ہاں، فلاں مقام سے فلاں مقام تک۔ اس میں درخت کاٹنا منع ہے، جس نے اس میں کوئی بدعت نکالی اس پر اللہ کی، فرشتوں کی اور تمام لوگوں کی لعنت ہے۔ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے فرمایا: عاصم بن سلیمان نے مجھے بتایا: یا قید ہے یا عتق ہے (یعنی غلام آزاد کرنا)۔
