Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أُمِرَ بِلاَلٌ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ، الأَذَانَ، وَأَنْ يُوتِرَ الإِقَامَةَ. قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ فَذَكَرْتُ لأَيُّوبَ فَقَالَ إِلاَّ الإِقَامَةَ.
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that Hadrat Bilal (may Allah be well pleased with him) was commanded to pronounce the words of the Adhan twice and the words of the Iqama once. Isma'il said: 'I mentioned this hadith to Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani (upon him be mercy), and he said: except that Qad qamatis-salah is to be said twice.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو حکم دیا گیا کہ اذان کے کلمات دو دو مرتبہ کہیں اور اقامت کے کلمات ایک ایک مرتبہ۔ اسماعیل نے کہا: میں نے ایوب سختیانی رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ سے اس حدیث کا ذکر کیا تو انہوں نے کہا: مگر «قد قامت الصلاة» دو مرتبہ کہی جائے گی۔
