Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأَصْحَابِ الْحِجْرِ " لاَ تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ، أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ ".
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated to his Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them) who were at al-Hijr, 'Do not enter upon these people who are being punished, except in a weeping state, lest the same calamity as theirs should befall you.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اپنے ان صحابہ کرام سے جو حجر میں تھے ارشاد فرمایا: ان عذاب یافتہ لوگوں میں داخل نہ ہو مگر اس حال میں کہ تم رو رہے ہو، مبادا وہی عذاب تم پر بھی آئے جو ان پر آیا تھا۔
