Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رِجَالاً، مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ اسْتَأْذَنُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالُوا ائْذَنْ لَنَا فَلْنَتْرُكْ لاِبْنِ أُخْتِنَا عَبَّاسٍ فِدَاءَهُ. قَالَ " وَاللَّهِ لاَ تَذَرُونَ مِنْهُ دِرْهَمًا ".
English Translation
Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that some men of the Ansar sought permission from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted, 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Permit us to waive the ransom of our nephew Hadrat Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him).' The Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared, 'By Allah, do not waive a single dirham of it.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ انصار کے کچھ لوگوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اجازت طلب کی اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ہمیں اجازت دیجیے کہ ہم اپنے بھانجے حضرت عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کا فدیہ معاف کر دیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اللہ کی قسم! اس کا ایک درہم بھی معاف نہ کرنا۔
