Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،، قَالَتْ أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِقَتْلِ الأَبْتَرِ وَقَالَ " إِنَّهُ يُصِيبُ الْبَصَرَ، وَيُذْهِبُ الْحَبَلَ ".
English Translation
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat ' A'isha al-Siddiqa (may Allah be well pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) ordered the killing of the Abtar (the short-tailed snake) and declared: It damages the eyesight and causes miscarriage.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اَبْتَر (ٹنڈے دم والے سانپ) کو مارنے کا حکم فرمایا اور ارشاد فرمایا: یہ بینائی کو نقصان پہنچاتا ہے اور حمل ساقط کر دیتا ہے۔
