Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قَالَ لِي جِبْرِيلُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِكَ لاَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ، أَوْ لَمْ يَدْخُلِ النَّارَ، قَالَ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ سَرَقَ قَالَ وَإِنْ ".
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: Jibril (upon him be peace) said to me: Whoever among your community dies without associating any partner with Allah shall enter Paradise — or (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated) shall not enter the Hellfire. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) inquired: Even if he committed adultery and theft? He (Jibril) replied: Even so.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے مجھ سے فرمایا: تمہاری امت میں سے جو شخص اس حال میں فوت ہو کہ وہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ ٹھہراتا ہو تو وہ جنت میں داخل ہو گا — یا (آپ نے یوں فرمایا کہ) دوزخ میں داخل نہ ہو گا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے عرض کیا: اگرچہ اس نے زنا کیا ہو اور چوری کی ہو (تب بھی)؟ (جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے) فرمایا: اگرچہ (ایسا ہی ہو)۔
