Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الدَّانَاجُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ مُكَوَّرَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ".
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: The sun and the moon shall both be folded up (deprived of their light) on the Day of Resurrection.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: قیامت کے دن سورج اور چاند دونوں تاریک (لپیٹ) کر دیے جائیں گے۔
