Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ وَأَشْجَعَ النَّاسِ وَأَجْوَدَ النَّاسِ، وَلَقَدْ فَزِعَ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ، فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَبَقَهُمْ عَلَى فَرَسٍ، وَقَالَ " وَجَدْنَاهُ بَحْرًا ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) who states: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the most handsome, the most courageous, and the most generous of all people. One night the people of Madinah were alarmed (by a sound), and the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the first to ride out ahead of them on a horse. Upon his return, he declared: "We found this horse to be like a sea (swift and powerful)."
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے، فرماتے ہیں: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سب لوگوں سے زیادہ حسین، سب سے زیادہ بہادر اور سب سے زیادہ سخی تھے۔ ایک رات مدینہ والے خوفزدہ ہوئے (کوئی آواز سن کر)، نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سب سے پہلے گھوڑے پر سوار ہو کر (آواز کی سمت) تشریف لے گئے اور (واپسی پر) ارشاد فرمایا: "ہم نے اس گھوڑے کو سمندر (کی طرح تیز رفتار) پایا۔"
