حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ لَهُ وَلِعَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ائْتِيَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ فَاسْمَعَا مِنْ حَدِيثِهِ. فَأَتَيْنَاهُ وَهُوَ وَأَخُوهُ فِي حَائِطٍ لَهُمَا يَسْقِيَانِهِ، فَلَمَّا رَآنَا جَاءَ فَاحْتَبَى وَجَلَسَ فَقَالَ كُنَّا نَنْقُلُ لَبِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ لَبِنَةً لَبِنَةً، وَكَانَ عَمَّارٌ يَنْقُلُ لَبِنَتَيْنِ لَبِنَتَيْنِ، فَمَرَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَسَحَ عَنْ رَأْسِهِ الْغُبَارَ وَقَالَ " وَيْحَ عَمَّارٍ، تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ، عَمَّارٌ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَيَدْعُونَهُ إِلَى النَّارِ ".
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Sa'id (al-Khudri, may Allah be well pleased with him) — 'Ikrimah (upon him be mercy) says that Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) said to him and to Hadrat Ali bin Abdullah: Go to Hadrat Abu Sa'id and listen to his narration. So we went to him while he and his brother were watering their garden. When he saw us, he came and sat with his arms around his knees and said: We used to carry one brick at a time for the construction of the Mosque (of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)), while Hadrat Ammar (bin Yasir, may Allah be well pleased with him) used to carry two bricks at a time. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed by him, wiped the dust from his head and declared: "Alas for Ammar! He will be killed by the rebellious group. Ammar calls them to Allah, and they call him to the Fire."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو سعید (خدری) رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے (عکرمہ رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے ان سے اور علی بن عبداللہ سے فرمایا: حضرت ابو سعید کے پاس جاؤ اور ان سے حدیث سنو)۔ ہم ان کے پاس گئے، وہ اپنے بھائی کے ساتھ اپنے باغ میں سیراب کر رہے تھے۔ جب انہوں نے ہمیں دیکھا تو آ کر گھٹنوں کو ہاتھ سے پکڑ کر بیٹھ گئے اور فرمایا: ہم مسجد (نبوی) کی تعمیر کے وقت ایک ایک اینٹ اٹھا کر لاتے تھے اور حضرت عمار (بن یاسر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) دو دو اینٹیں اٹھا کر لاتے تھے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے پاس سے گزرے، ان کے سر سے غبار صاف فرمایا اور ارشاد فرمایا: "عمار پر افسوس ہے! انہیں باغی گروہ قتل کرے گا۔ عمار انہیں اللہ کی طرف بلاتے ہیں اور وہ عمار کو آگ کی طرف بلاتے ہیں۔"
