حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " إِذَا تَبَايَعَ الرَّجُلاَنِ فَكُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا بِالْخِيَارِ، مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا، وَكَانَا جَمِيعًا، أَوْ يُخَيِّرُ أَحَدُهُمَا الآخَرَ فَتَبَايَعَا عَلَى ذَلِكَ، فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْبَيْعُ، وَإِنْ تَفَرَّقَا بَعْدَ أَنْ يَتَبَايَعَا، وَلَمْ يَتْرُكْ وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمَا الْبَيْعَ، فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الْبَيْعُ ".
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: When two persons make a transaction, each one of them has the option (to cancel) as long as they have not separated and are still together; or if one of them gives the other the option and they conclude the sale on that basis, then the sale becomes binding. And if they separate after concluding the transaction and neither of them has withdrawn from it, then the sale also becomes binding.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جب دو شخص خرید و فروخت کریں تو دونوں میں سے ہر ایک کو (بیع فسخ کرنے کا) اختیار ہے جب تک وہ جدا نہ ہو جائیں اور اکٹھے رہیں، یا ایک فریق دوسرے کو اختیار دے دے اور اس شرط پر بیع ہو جائے تو بیع لازم ہو جاتی ہے۔ اور اگر بیع کے بعد دونوں جدا ہو جائیں اور کسی نے بھی بیع سے رجوع نہ کیا ہو تو بھی بیع لازم ہو جاتی ہے۔
