حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الْبَرَّاءِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَصْحَابُهُ لِصُبْحِ رَابِعَةٍ يُلَبُّونَ بِالْحَجِّ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً إِلاَّ مَنْ مَعَهُ الْهَدْىُ. تَابَعَهُ عَطَاءٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ.
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) who said: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) arrived (in Makkah al-Mukarramah) with his Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them) on the morning of the fourth of Dhul-Hijjah, reciting the Talbiyah for Hajj. He commanded them that those who did not have a sacrificial animal should change their Hajj to Umrah. Hadrat Ata (may Allah have mercy upon him) narrated similarly from Hadrat Jabir (may Allah be well pleased with him).
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اپنے صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم کو ساتھ لے کر حج کا تلبیہ پکارتے ہوئے ذی الحجہ کی چوتھی صبح کو (مکہ مکرمہ میں) تشریف لائے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حکم فرمایا کہ جن کے پاس ہدی نہیں ہے وہ اپنے حج کو عمرے میں بدل لیں۔ حضرت عطاء رحمۃ اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ نے حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے اس حدیث کی متابعت کی ہے۔
