حَدَّثَنا عمرو بن علي حَدَّثَنا يحيى عن المثنى بن سعيد قال حدثنا قتادة عن بشير بن كعب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا تدرأتم في الطريق فاجعلهوها سبع أذرعولا نعلم روى بشير بن كعب عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إلا هذا الحديث عباس الجشمي
English Translation
Amr ibn Ali narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us from al-Muthanna ibn Sa'id who said: Qatadah narrated to us from Bashir ibn Ka'b from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: "When you disagree about the [width of a] road, make it seven cubits." We do not know that Bashir ibn Ka'b narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) except this hadith, [through] Abbas al-Jushami.
