حَدَّثنا عَبدة قال أَخْبَرنا عَبد الصمد عن عَبد الرحمن قال سَمِعْتُ أبي عَن أبي صالح عَن أبي هُرَيرة أن رجلاً رأى كلبا يأكل الثرى من العطش فأخذ الرجل خفه فجعل يغرف له من الماء حتى أرواه فشكر الله له فأدخله الجنة عمرو بن دينار عَن أبي صالح أن رجلاً رأى كلبا يأكل الثرى من العطش فأخذ الرجل خفه فجعل يغرف له من الماء حتى أرواه فشكر الله له فأدخله الجنة عمرو بن دينار عَن أبي صالح
English Translation
Abdah narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Samad informed us from Abd al-Rahman, he said: I heard my father from Abu Salih from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man saw a dog eating moist earth out of thirst, so the man took his leather sock and began to scoop water for it until he quenched its thirst, so Allah thanked him for it and admitted him into Paradise.
