حَدَّثنا بِشْر بن خالد العسكري قَال حَدَّثنا حسين بن علي الجعفي قَال حَدَّثنا زائدة عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيم عَن نافع بن سَرْجِس عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يكون في آخر الزمان فتن كقطع الليل المظلم أنجى الناس منها صاحب شاهقة فأكل رسل غنمه أو من رسل غنمه ورجل آخذ بعنان فرسه يأكل من فيء فرسه أو رمحهوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ولاَ نَعلم أسند نافع بن سَرْجِس عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ هذا الحديث عُبَيد مولى رهم عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة الجعفي قَال حَدَّثنا زائدة عَنْ عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيم عَن نافع بن سَرْجِس عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يكون في آخر الزمان فتن كقطع الليل المظلم أنجى الناس منها صاحب شاهقة فأكل رسل غنمه أو من رسل غنمه ورجل آخذ بعنان فرسه يأكل من فيء فرسه أو رمحهوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لاَ نعلمُهُ يُرْوَى عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة إلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ولاَ نَعلم أسند نافع بن سَرْجِس عَن أبي هُرَيرة إلاَّ هذا الحديث عُبَيد مولى رهم عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة
English Translation
Bishr ibn Khalid al-Askari narrated to us, saying: Husayn ibn Ali al-Jufi narrated to us, saying: Zaidah narrated to us from Abdullah ibn Uthman ibn Khuthaym from Nafi ibn Sarjis from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "There will be tribulations at the end of time like pieces of the dark night. The safest of people from them will be the owner of a mountain retreat who eats from the milk of his sheep, and a man holding the reins of his horse, eating from the spoils of his horse or his spear." This hadith is not known to us to be narrated from Abu Hurairah except through this route with this chain, and we do not know of Nafi ibn Sarjis narrating from Abu Hurairah except this hadith. Ubayd, the freed slave of Ruhm, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him).
