حَدَّثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ سَيَّارٍ قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الرزاق قال أَخْبَرنا مَعْمَر عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عن حُمَيد بن عَبد الرحمن عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال ليس الشديد بالصرعة قالوا فمن الشديد قال الذي يملك نفسه عند الغضبوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة من غير وجه وهذا الإسناد أصح إسناد يروى عَن أبي هُرَيرة في ذلك اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قال ليس الشديد بالصرعة قالوا فمن الشديد قال الذي يملك نفسه عند الغضبوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة من غير وجه وهذا الإسناد أصح إسناد يروى عَن أبي هُرَيرة في ذلك
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Mansur ibn Sayyar narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), he stated: «The strong one is not the wrestler. They said: 'Who is the strong one?' He stated: 'The one who controls himself at the time of anger.'» This hadith has been narrated from Abu Hurairah through more than one chain, and this isnad is the most authentic isnad narrated from Abu Hurairah in this matter.
