حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الأعلى قَال حَدَّثنا مَعْمَر عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عن حُمَيد بن عَبد الرحمن عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم من أنفق زوجين من ماله دعته الملائكة فمن كان من أهل الجهاد دعي من باب الجهاد وَمَنْ كان من أهل الصيام دعي من باب الريان قال أَبْو بَكْر يا رَسولَ اللهِ ما على رجل توا من أي باب دعي فهل يدعى أحد منها قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إني لأرجو أن تكون منهمهذا الحديث قد رُوِيَ عَن أبي هُرَيرة من غير وجه ولاَ نعلمُ له طريقًا عَن أبي هُرَيرة أحسن من هذا الطريق من أنفق زوجين من ماله دعته الملائكة فمن كان من أهل الجهاد دعي من باب الجهاد وَمَنْ كان من أهل الصيام دعي من باب الريان قال أَبْو بَكْر يا رَسولَ اللهِ ما على رجل توا من أي باب دعي فهل يدعى أحد منها قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم إني لأرجو أن تكون منهمهذا الحديث قد رُوِيَ عَن أبي هُرَيرة من غير وجه ولاَ نعلمُ له طريقًا عَن أبي هُرَيرة أحسن من هذا الطريق
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A'la narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Whoever spends a pair from his wealth, the angels will call him. Whoever is from the people of jihad will be called from the Gate of Jihad. Whoever is from the people of fasting will be called from the Gate of al-Rayyan.» Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, there is no harm upon a man from whichever gate he is called. Will anyone be called from all of them?" The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «Indeed, I hope that you will be among them.» This hadith has been narrated from Abu Hurairah through more than one chain, and we do not know a better chain for it from Abu Hurairah than this chain.
