حَدَّثنا سَهْل بن بحر قَال حَدَّثنا الحسن بن الربيع قَال حَدَّثنا ابن المبارك عَن ابن لهيعة قال أخبرني بكير بن الأشج عَن سُليمان بن يسار عَن أبي هُرَيرة قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم سرية وَكان أَبُو هُرَيرة فيهم فقال إن لقيتم هبار بن الأسود ونافع بن عَبد عَمْرو فحرقوهما بالنار ولاَ تقتلوهما وكانا نخسا بزينب بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليهما حين خرجت من مكة إلى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فلم تزل ضنية حتى ماتت فلما ودعنا النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ إِنِّي كنت أمرتكم أن تحرقوا هبارا ونافعا فإنه لا ينبغي لأحد أن يعذب بعذاب الله فإن لقيتموهما فاقتلوهما أَبُو هُرَيرة فيهم فقال إن لقيتم هبار بن الأسود ونافع بن عَبد عَمْرو فحرقوهما بالنار ولاَ تقتلوهما وكانا نخسا بزينب بنت رسول الله صلى الله عليهما حين خرجت من مكة إلى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فلم تزل ضنية حتى ماتت فلما ودعنا النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم قَالَ إِنِّي كنت أمرتكم أن تحرقوا هبارا ونافعا فإنه لا ينبغي لأحد أن يعذب بعذاب الله فإن لقيتموهما فاقتلوهما
English Translation
Sahl ibn Bahr narrated to us, he said: Al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, he said: Ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, from Ibn Lahi'ah, he said: Bukayr ibn al-Ashajj informed me, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent out a military expedition, and Hadrat Abu Hurairah was among them. He stated: «If you encounter Habbar ibn al-Aswad and Nafi' ibn Abd Amr, burn them with fire and do not kill them.» They had hurt Hadrat Zaynab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), when she left Makkah to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and she remained ill until she died. When we bade farewell to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), he stated: «Indeed, I had commanded you to burn Habbar and Nafi', but it is not appropriate for anyone to punish with the punishment of Allah. If you encounter them, kill them.»
