وحَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَال حَدَّثنا عَبد الأعلى قَال حَدَّثنا مَعْمَر عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد عَن أَبِي هُرَيرة عَن النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه قَالَ كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَأَبَوَاهُ يهودانة ويمجسانه كما تنتج البهيمة هل تحس فيها أحسبه قال من جدعاء صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وَسَلَّم أَنَّه قَالَ كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَأَبَوَاهُ يهودانة ويمجسانه كما تنتج البهيمة هل تحس فيها أحسبه قال من جدعاء
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A'la narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from az-Zuhri, from Sa'id, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him), from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «Every child is born upon the natural disposition (fitrah), then his parents make him a Jew or a Zoroastrian, just as an animal produces a whole animal — do you perceive any» — I think he said: «mutilation in it?»
