وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ أَرَادَ بَنُو سَلَمَةَ أَنْ يَتَحَوَّلُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ إِلَى قُرْبِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَكَرِهَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَلِكَ وَقال يَا بَنِي سَلَمَةَ أَلا تَحْتَسِبُونَ آثَارَكُمْ فَأَقَامُوا إِلَى قُرْبِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَكَرِهَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَلِكَ وَقال يَا بَنِي سَلَمَةَ أَلا تَحْتَسِبُونَ آثَارَكُمْ فَأَقَامُوا
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us: Abu Dawud narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us from Qatadah from Anas from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who stated: «The son of Adam grows old, but two things remain young in him: greed for wealth and greed for life.»
