حَدَّثنا سَعِيد قَال حَدَّثنا أَبُو القاسم بن أبي الزناد قَال حَدَّثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَن دَاود بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَن عِكْرِمة عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَجُلا طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَجَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَقَالَ لا نفقة ولاَ سكنى فَجَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم فَقَالَ لا نفقة ولاَ سكنى
English Translation
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both), that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: 'I found my wife with another man; shall I bring four witnesses while the man fulfills his need?' Then the verse of li'an [mutual cursing] was revealed.
