حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِفْتَاحُ الْجَنَّةِ شَهَادَةُ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهِ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَشَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
English Translation
Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash informed us, he said: My father narrated to me, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Husayn, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'The key to Paradise is the testimony that there is no god but Allah.' Shahr ibn Hawshab did not hear directly from Mu'adh ibn Jabal.
