حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مِهْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ هَكَذَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَخُصُّوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِصِيَامٍ وَلَا لَيْلَتِهَا بِقِيَامٍ
English Translation
Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Mihran ibn Abi 'Umar informed us, he said: Sufyan informed us, from 'Asim al-Ahwal, from Ibn Sirin, from Salman al-Farisi - thus he stated - who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Do not single out Friday for fasting, nor its night for prayer (qiyam).'
