English Translation
Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us, he said: Ubaidullah ibn Musa narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Thuwayr ibn Abi Fakhitah, from his father, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: The first to reduce the takbir was al-Walid ibn Uqbah. Abdullah said: They reduced it — may Allah reduce them! Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) pronouncing takbir every time he bowed, every time he prostrated, and every time he raised himself.
