حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ قَالَ نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَمْ نَسْمَعْهُ إِلَّا مِنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ عَنْ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَمْ نَسْمَعْهُ إِلَّا مِنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ عَنْ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ
English Translation
Abd al-Wahid ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, he said: Abu Awanah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abdullah ibn Ma'qil, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who said: «Remorse is repentance.» This hadith — we did not hear it except from Abd al-Wahid from Abu Awanah.
